Certified Inspection Services Website
Certified Inspection Services Website
I partnered with a local web developer to design, develop, and launch the Certified Inspection Services website, www.certifiedinspectionservices.com. The developers started with a template, presented it to our team, and then I suggested edits to overall layout, design, and content.
Discovery: Met with chief operating officer to discuss project scope, budget, goals, and timeline.
Research: Conducted online research, utilized competitive/comparative analysis, and met with internal teams throughout the project to develop brand guidelines, site map, and industry-and-audience-driven content.
Planning: Vetted local web developers [5] based on skill level/style and projected cost/timeline, set consultation appointments, and collected statements of work for executive team review.
Execution: Met with developers to review mockups and to suggest enhancements to optimize UX design, including primary & secondary navigation menu design, button design & rollover effects, and landing page layouts.
Launch: Partnered with internal IT teams and developers to set up web hosting, to configure web forms, and to migrate website for launch.
User Experience, Interface Design, & Optimization
I requested specific adjustments and provided additional content to enhance webpage UX/UI:
Buttons: Changed the color to the CIS secondary color, deep red, to draw the eye
Main navigation: Increase size, link logo to homepage, and shift from left to right pane
Numbers feature: Introduced "above the fold" to promote alternative data presentation
Calls to action: Added unique CTAs, including our unique value proposition, to every page
Icons: Designed icons to illustrate and introduce our process for web & B2B sales collateral
Forms: Worked with developers to lock in form fields to optimize completion
Name, address, phone: Made listings consistent on every page for search engine optimization
Affiliations & testimonials: Added appropriate logos & testimonials to boost brand credibility
MS-IL Website Redesign
On January 4, 2023, I presented our team's year-end and 2023 forecasting/planning report. Backed with substantial data, I propositioned a website redesign to start in Q1 for launch in late Q2/beginning of Q3.
With executive buy-in, I began research, planning, and development for ms-il.com's website redesign in March 2023. Local website development business owner Cody Sharp of Sharp Guys Web Design was extended an offer for the project, and so a statement of work was delivered. I drafted and presented website goals and site map to CEO and COO, and assigned roles and responsibilities within marketing.
Due to financial complications, MS-IL decided to forgo the web project.

MS-IL.com MOCKUPS
Through the integration of Data Frenzy, a software bridge from TempWorks to Indeed, I helped streamline and optimize online recruiting:
job distribution
candidate applies & screening
resume parsing
data collection
Benefits of the integration
Acts as a bridge between Indeed and the HRIS software, capturing and parsing all resumes upon application
Simplifies the job application process, improving candidate experience & substantially increasing # of applies while decreasing cost per apply, maximizing ROI
Creates job hosting/board on jobs.ms-il.com, enhancing experience & behavior tracking
I vetted the tech and worked with reps from Data Frenzy, TempWorks, Indeed, and our IT team to integrate & test.
The project took about 3.5-4 months with testing and required an $11,680 annual investment.
Worked with Data Frenzy developers to duplicate MS-IL's header & footer for new job hosting portal on jobs.ms-il.com
Software integration created "Quick Apply" options on jobs.ms-il.com & Indeed
RESULTS as of Q2 2023
Results of live test 1, which took place over 7-9 days in mid June 2023:
Incorporating Data Frenzy to the same campaign [with a lower budget] yielded about 1,600 more applies in half the time, 7-9 vs 14-18 days.
Data Frenzy campaigns had more applies than apply starts, the first- ever observed, suggesting more people submitted applications.
Average cost per apply was nearly 300% better overall at .50 cents per apply vs traditional method at $1.83.
100% of applicant resumes were automatically parsed in the HRIS system with Data Frenzy, as opposed to zero using traditional method.

Website Designer, Developer, Manager
I was the first-ever web designer, developer, and manager for BPS Marketing, an agency in Indy. I spent just over two years working alongside a team of creators who partnered with business executives to brand and rebrand, and to head marketing campaigns and various creative projects.
At BPS I developed a web project management system that I've carried with me throughout my professional career. I used to build websites in Dreamweaver and animation in Flash! The web landscape, architecture, and tech have changed, no doubt, but the fundamentals of user interface and experience remain. I have the most fun deep-diving into an existing website's analytics and backend to implement optimizing strategy, and/or starting from scratch to build user-and-mobile-friendly sites that convert. I have experience site mapping and building frameworks, writing optimized content, & developing calls to action. Could your team benefit from my expertise? Let's talk!
